Optimumcut-1D v3 Product Development
With the release of Optimumcut-1D v3.1, we now have full support for Window 8. We posted earlier about installation problems both here and here as well as a cosmetic issue with the start screen tile here.
v3.1 is now compiled against Microsoft .NET 4.0 which comes pre-installed on Windows 8. On previous versions of Windows, the installation of .NET 4.0 is handled automatically by our installer if it is not already installed.
The start screen tiles in the final release of Window 8 also use a smaller font than they did in the pre-release versions and therefore support more characters before the name is truncated. "Optimumcut-1D" fits within a single line and the "V3" word wraps nicely to the second line..
